Accor, a leading global hospitality company, has recently signed a partnership with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels to develop two new properties that will house three hotels in total. These new hotels are expected to be open by 2027.

One of the properties will be located at Hoe Chiang Road and will be home to the largest Mövenpick hotel in the Asia Pacific region, with 808 rooms. It will also feature Mövenpick Living Singapore, a 37-room accommodation designed for longer stays. The other property, situated at Waterloo Street, will be a new addition to the Handwritten Collection Brand, with 502 rooms. This will mark the second Handwritten Collection hotel in Singapore, following the launch of Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection in late 2023.

According to Garth Simmons, COO of Accor’s premium, midscale and economy division in Asia, the agreement is a testament to the strong demand for Accor’s brands among owners and investors, and reflects their commitment to driving growth and revolutionizing the future of hospitality in Asia.

This partnership between Accor and Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels, both owned by chairman Koh Wee Meng, has resulted in a portfolio of 17 hotels in Singapore, five in Australia, and three in the UK. The properties feature a variety of brands, such as MGallery, Mövenpick, Novotel, Mercure, Handwritten Collection, ibis Styles, and ibis Budget.

Chairman Koh from Fragrance Group is also excited about the addition of these new properties, which will allow them to continue providing enriching experiences for their guests and expand their hospitality offerings in Singapore.
