Redas Appoints New Management Committee Led Returning President Tan Swee Yiow
Redas, the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore, recently held its Annual General Meeting on January 9 and elected its management committee for a new two-year term. Members unanimously re-elected Tan Swee Yiow, Chairman of Keppel Reit Management, as President for his second consecutive term.
Tan expressed his honor at being re-elected and noted the diverse representation within the new management committee, which includes members from different sectors, scales, and expertise within the real estate industry.

The new management committee includes Immediate Past President Chia Ngiang Hong, who is the Group General Manager of City Developments; First Vice President Kwee Ker Wei, who is the Director of Pontiac Land Group; Second Vice President Marc Boey, who is the Executive Director of Project Services at Far East Organization; Honorary Secretary Chong Hock Chang, who is the Group Director of Projects and Marketing at Ho Bee Land; Honorary Treasurer Neo Soon Hup, who is the COO of UOL Group; Honorary Assistant Secretary Chew Peet Mun, who is the Managing Director of Investment and Development at CapitaLand Development Singapore; and Honorary Assistant Treasurer Tho Leong Chye, who is the Managing Director of Allgreen Properties.
One of the key highlights of the event was honoring Chia Ngiang Hong, the Immediate Past President of Redas, with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his exemplary leadership and contributions to the real estate industry.
Tan expressed confidence in the diverse composition of the new management committee, stating that it will enable Redas to effectively drive initiatives and initiatives that will have a meaningful impact on the broader built environment ecosystem. Some of the initiatives that Redas will focus on in the upcoming term include the implementation of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, green premiums, and streamlining road approval processes for developers. Additionally, developers have suggested separate land zoning to meet the projected demand for senior accommodation in Singapore, which Redas will also explore.
As Redas celebrates its 65th anniversary this year, the association remains committed to promoting and representing the interests of its members, advocating for a conducive business environment, and supporting sustainable and responsible development in the real estate industry in Singapore.
