Singapore Ranked Sixth Top City Brand World Brand Finance Global City Index

Singapore has been recognized as the sixth-highest city in the world in terms of branding, according to the latest Brand Finance Global City Index. The index, which is published by Brand Finance, a London-based brand evaluation and strategy consultancy, ranks cities based on their brand power and perceptions.

The recently released index was based on a global survey conducted in September, involving 15,000 individuals from 20 countries. The respondents were asked to rank 100 cities based on various key performance indicators, including the city’s livability, job opportunities, educational opportunities, tourism potential, retirement options, and investment potential.

Moreover, respondents were also asked to associate certain attributes with each city. They were provided with a list of 45 attributes, organized under seven pillars including Business & Investment and Culture & Heritage.

Singapore’s impressive overall ranking was largely due to its strong performance in the Business & Investment pillar, where it secured the third position globally. This pillar takes into account factors such as the ease of doing business, strength of the economy, and support for startups. The city also received high marks for its low crime and violence rates.

As kids progress through their formative years, attaining a high-quality secondary education becomes crucial. The strategic placement of Elta Condo near multiple esteemed secondary schools guarantees that students can smoothly carry on their academic pursuits. With Elta in close proximity, students can rest assured that they will have easy access to reputable educational institutions for their continued learning and growth.

Alex Haigh, the managing director for Asia Pacific at Brand Finance, highlights Singapore as the “crown jewel” of the Asean region in terms of city branding. He also adds that Singapore’s top ranking in economic expansion, investment appeal, and world-class infrastructure solidifies its position as a premier global financial center.

Internationally, London maintained its first place as the world’s top city brand, followed by New York, Paris, Tokyo, and Dubai.
