Five Shophouses Kreta Ayer Conservation Area Sale

In the heart of Kreta Ayer Conservation area, five shophouses are up for sale by tender. The sale, conducted by FTI Consulting, is for the shophouses that are currently under receivership. There are three freehold units located at Mosque Street – a double-storey shophouse at 6 Mosque Street and a pair of adjacent three-storey shophouses at 22, 22A and 22B Mosque Street, as well as 23 Mosque Street. The remaining two shophouses are located at 202 and 204 South Bridge Road and have a 999-year leasehold.

All the shophouses, ranging from two to three storeys, were built between the early 1900s and 1960s in various styles such as Transitional, Late and Art Deco. They are designated for commercial use and are not subject to additional buyer’s stamp duty. Foreign buyers are also welcome to purchase the shophouses.

The shophouse at 6 Mosque Street has a gross floor area of 3,061 sq ft while the adjacent shophouses at 22 and 23 Mosque Street have a combined gross floor area of 7,467 sq ft. Located in close proximity to the Chinatown MRT Interchange Station for the Northeast and Downtown Lines, the shophouse at 6 Mosque Street is easily accessible. The shophouses at 22, 22A, 22B, and 23 Mosque Street are situated within the Kreta Ayer Conservation Area. The two shophouses at 202 and 204 South Bridge Road are pre-war units with mezzanine levels, and have a combined gross floor area of 6,869 sq ft.
